The operation was founded in 1978 and is a joint venture with 50/50 ownership between Valeo and OSRAM Sylvania. Valeo Sylvania also operates a manufacturing facility in Queretaro, Mexico and a sales office in Dearborn, Michigan. Responsibility for the Seymour Manufacturing Facility. Overall responsibility and
accountability for ensuring compliance with city, state and federal health, safety and
▪Responsible for the application of safety standards and for adhering to quality systems. (May
include V5000, TS16949, V1000, ISO 14001 and OHSAS18001 standards using QRQC
methodology (All functions)). On the Job Training (OJT) of peers and Stop Scrap procedures
related to all manufacturing where applicable.
▪Plant management responsibilities with respect to Manufacturing, Logistics, V.P.S., Quality,
Technical, Productivity, T.P.M., Human Resources, Purchasing and Finance.
▪Integrate the Valeo 5 Operating Strategies to provide the best services to our customers.
▪Provide the optimum staff and organization, promote teamwork towards continuous
improvement in costs, quality and delivery to our customers.
▪Provide leadership, motivation, and support to employees at all levels to achieve their goals.
▪Actively contribute to the future of the company by providing a modern, efficient facility, with
the necessary capacity to fulfill our customer requirements.
▪Provide the necessary support to the area teams to succeed in meeting their goals; to include
personnel requirements and equipment needs.
▪Provide leadership to all reporting Departments to optimize and strengthen the organization.
▪Promote line of communication between all departments.
▪Responsible for completion of all monthly and quarterly reports and participating in
Management Team meetings.
▪Ensure all department operations are in compliance with corporate, safety/environment policies
and procedures and federal and state laws. Ensure team members act in a safe manner, observe
safety precautions and wear proper safety equipment (as required).
▪Work in high-pressure environment, due to managing multiple departments to ensure Plant is
operating at peak efficiency within pre-established standards.
Required Minimum Experience:
Minimum of 10 years plant management experience within a manufacturing environment;
automotive supplier experience is preferable
Education, Knowledge, Skills Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Management, or Quality. Thorough knowledge of
manufacturing operations with extensive demonstrable managerial skills. Demonstrated
leadership skills in a team oriented setting. A thorough understanding of and experience in
the implementation of lean systems is required. Knowledge of automotive lighting systems is
